Daisy came into rescue from some loving volunteers of Schnauzer Love Rescue. She was abandoned by her owners who moved. Their neighbors took Daisy in until she found her way to rescue. Daisy is estimated to be 6 years old and has the sweetest disposition. She has some skin issues that needs to be addressed. Daisy was obviously bred more than once as well as been neglected. My adoption donation is $175.
1/28/08 Daisy saw the vet today. She was updated on her shots. Her skin tone is considerably almost back to normal. She was put on antibiotics, prednisone and animax (ear infection). She does have a luxating patella on both rear knees. She is put on glucosamine to help her knees/joints. Her nails were clipped but the quick were really long. Once she is well, she will be scheduled to be spayed.
5/3/08 Daisy recently had a MCT removed from her side. She will need surgery on both rear knees to help her walk better. For her hip, surgery is not recommended because it would not help her. Medication is the path we will take to manage her hip.
She is such a sweet girl. She is both crate and potty-trained. She woo-woo's to you while you prepare her dinner and waits her turn for her bowl. She likes to sleep in her crate as well as having a nice warm spot in bed with you.
6/6/08 Daisy is scheduled for her 1st knee surgery on June 25th for her right rear knee. Once she recovers, she will be set to have her second surgery on her left rear knee and will posisbly be spayed at the same time. Please donate to her upcoming surgeries, no change is to small.
