Congratulations Benny on your forever home!
Hi, I am Benny (Benjamin when I am really mischievous). I am a happy, very active, 10 year old. I am told I am in really good health for my age. I am physically almost a perfect pug. I do have some cataracts but still see just fine. I am not taking any medications – just artificial tears for my eyes once a day. I am a big strong boy, 32 lbs. but I am going to lose about 4 or 5. I have been a stud male all my life. I guess the breeder kept me looking good to show me off to prospective buyers of my puppies. My foster mom is helping me to learn how to be a ‘regular’ dog. On my walks, I walk behind , instead of beside or ahead of, but I am learning to be more comfortable on my lead. I have learned about stairs and ramps and I’m getting better with those. I am very polite with my two pug foster brothers and I am learning to love affection. I am cowering less and approaching more on my own. I am learning I have the run of the house, but I am still getting used to that.
I really want to please anyone who is kind to me. I have not barked or whined once since I have been with my foster family. I am a great, all-around pet, looking for my first and only forever loving home. I am UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. I do have a 25% cataracts in both eyes. Nothing really to do for that, but it should be monitored by a vet. I will be going in for a dental, but after that, I will be ready to find that special family of my very own.
