Bridget
Congratulations Bridget on your forever home!
My name is Bridget and I am a 15 week old pug puppy.
I am up to date on my shots and I have been spayed. I had surgery for Diaphragmatic Hernia, and it was a success. I am a spunky little girl who loves to play and give kisses. Due to the success of my surgery, doc says I can live a normal life, but I just need to be cautious about jumping up onto furniture and things. (By the way, did I mention I am absolutely adorable!)
Update
My Surgery was a success.
I will also need surgery for Diaphragmatic Hernia. This is a congenital defect. Some puppies are born with an incomplete diaphragm muscle. This results in an abnormal opening or openings within the diaphragm. Once an opening in the muscle occurs, abdominal contents such as the liver, stomach, or intestines may herniate through the rupture, enter the chest and put pressure upon the lungs. The diaphragm muscle is now compromised as it cannot properly expand and contract. Without this surgery I will not survive. Doc wants to try and do the surgery when I am 16 weeks old.
I am scheduled for an operation to fix my pinched nostrils on Monday. Doc says it will help me breathe better.
Make a Donation
My surgery was expensive. If you fell in love with me, but cant adopt me and would like to support the rescue for everything they did for me to get me healthy, please make a donation in my name below. Without the efforts of my rescue, I would not have been able to have the opportunity to find a forever home. This fund is exclusively for me and for my pug pal Georgia. She has gone through the same surgery that I did.

My wife & I own two pugs already. We love the pic of this little girl. We would love updates on her.
We could provide her a good loving home.
My wife and I recently lost our 4 1/2 year old pug to kidney failure from stones (she was also born with only one active kidney). We have a very loving, 3 year old corgi-shepherd mix at home that is missing his sister terribly. He is in serious need of a companion and I think it would work greatly towards the healing process to add to our family. Both of us are dog-lovers and treat our companions as our own children since we have no kids.
We have a few young pugs (age 2 and 3) that would make nice companions for your corgi-shepherd. Please complete an online application and I will gladly help you find a wonderful addition to your family. Thanks, Judi.
Bridget had her 12 week vaccinations a couple of days ago. She will have a simple surgery to widen her pinched nostrils in 2 weeks. After that we will know more about a surgery date for the hernias.
Bridget had her nasal surgery today and is doing great! Two weeks from today she is scheduled to have her spay and diaphragm surgery.
We meet at Spring Fling yesterday and she stole my heart. What a precious precious little girl! She is a bundle of love and joy.
Hi Samantha!! Wasn’t Bridget a sweetie!! Keep her in your thoughts and prayers Monday. 4 more days.
Tomorrow is the big day. Please keep Bridget in your thoughts and prayers.
Bridget is home and doing ok. Surgery went well. She was also spayed. More updates coming.
How is our girl doing? I can’t wait to see her again! She is the princess for my prince! I can see them both taking over the bed…prince and princess of the pillowtop…lol.
Do you have a recent pic to post?
The new pictures should be up soon, with updates. If you are interested in adopting Bridget, CFPR is now accepting applications for her adoption.
We will stop by Petco 5/15 and see her again and see if she likes us.
Samantha, she still loves you! I won’t be there. Yard sale that day, every penny going to the pugs! But the girls will be there. I don’t know exactly what time and for how long though.
Mary, can you email me directly I need to speak with you personally about our company and % of pug sales items being donated.
Is this sweet baby still available for adoption? Please let me know.
Karin
Good morning Karin,
Yes, she is still available. If you are intersted in her, please fill out the adoption application and that will start the process.
