Congratulations Clayton on your forever home!
FINALLY THE BAD ECONOMY IS GOOD FOR SOMETHING! Clayton here, and if the economy wasn’t in the toilet and people unable to afford high class pugs like me I’d still be in prison. I spent the first three years of my life locked up in a cage in Georgia breeding for a puppy mill. Well, the recession drove them out of business and here I am, free at last! I came to Central Florida Pug Rescue skinny, with no social skills and scared out of my wits, but now I’m living on Easy Street! Lots of tasty, high quality grub, big soft beds for me to sleep in and back rubs whenever I want them…all for the price of a little house breaking and a howl or two to amuse the folks when I’m asking for a treat! Although it is getting better every day, I am still a little fearful from time to time…you can’t blame a guy who has been jailed and beaten for most of his life to think that the nightmare is going to start all over again any minute. But you know, I am beginning to think that the dream is real and I will always have a warm bed to wake up in, a full food bowl and people who are going to love me even if I make a mistake from time to time. As for my stats, well, I am a handsome three year old fawn male pug with a cinnamon bun tail, neutered (no more breeding for me!), had all my shots and am nice and healthy. Now that I know what toys are (the ones with squeakers terrified me when I was first sprung from the mill) I love to play. Cuddling is great, and I will gladly soak up all the attention you can give me. I absolutely love people…and I’m goo with other dogs too! I’ve been learning my manners also…I have that housebreakings thing almost down pat, sit perfectly still when I am being bathed and groomed and will consent to being crated if you insist. I like car rides and going just about anywhere with my humans…hey, I’m finally getting to see something other than the inside of a cage!
Won’t you consider me for the position of your permanent pug? I may have a past, but I’ve got tons of potential, and though I am going to need some patience and love, I’ve got a whole lot of love to give myself…and I’d like to give it to you!
