Georgia
Congratulations Georgia on your forever home!
My name is Georgia and I am a 15 week old pug puppy.
I am up to date on my shots and I have been spayed. I had surgery for Diaphragmatic Hernia, and it was a success. I am a spunky little girl who loves to play and give kisses. My foster mom says I am extremely smart. (She’s right!) Due to the success of my surgery, doc says I can live a normal life, but I just need to be cautious about jumping up onto furniture and things. (By the way, did I mention I am absolutely adorable!)
Update
My Surgery was a success.
I will also need surgery for Diaphragmatic Hernia. This is a congenital defect. Some puppies are born with an incomplete diaphragm muscle. This results in an abnormal opening or openings within the diaphragm. Once an opening in the muscle occurs, abdominal contents such as the liver, stomach, or intestines may herniate through the rupture, enter the chest and put pressure upon the lungs. The diaphragm muscle is now compromised as it cannot properly expand and contract. Without this surgery I will not survive. Doc wants to try and do the surgery when I am 16 weeks old.
I am scheduled for an operation to fix my pinched nostrils on Monday. Doc says it will help me breathe better.
Make a Donation
My surgery was expensive. If you fell in love with me, but cant adopt me and would like to support the rescue for everything they did for me to get me healthy, please make a donation in my name below. Without the efforts of my rescue, I would not have been able to have the opportunity to find a forever home. This fund is exclusively for me and for my pug pal Bridget. She has gone through the same surgery that I did.

I would love to adopet georgia when she is ready
Carole, she will not be available for a while. A month or more. As I take them to the vet for further exams, we will have a better idea when they are ready for surgery. Our vet says he would like to wait until they are 16 weeks old. Please keep checking on their progress, upcoming surgery and recovery. You can put an application in when she is ready for adoption. All the updates will be on the website.
The girls were born on Jan 11, 2010, so they are almost 12 weeks old.
Georgia had her 12 week vaccinations and will need a simple surgery for her pinched nostrils. We will know more about the surgery for the hernia at that time.
My beautiful Pug died 2 weeks ago, Georgia would make a perfect fit for our family, whenever she is ready!
Georgia had her nasal surgery today and is doing great! She is scheduled to have her spay and diaphragm surgery two weeks from today.
Tomorrow is the big day. Please keep Georgia in your thoughts and prayers.
Georgia is home from surgery and doing ok. Surgery went well and she was spayed. Check back for more updates.
The new pictures should be up soon, with updates. If you are interested in adopting Georgia, CFPR is now accepting applications for her adoption.
