Congratulations Higgins on your forever home!
WANTED: Curmudgeon pug seeks same for shared retirement situation. Must love nice gentle walks, trips in the car, giving belly rubs and head scratches and receiving lots and lots of pug kisses. Must not leave me behind (unless you really enjoy the sound of howling), mess with my feet or stick your fingers in my ears, excessively rattle aluminum foil or wave newspapers about. I don’t like sharing my food or my treats or my time with any other dag-nabbit dog, cat or miniature human, for that matter. I just want to spend all my time with you, preferably on the couch, criticizing the latest tax increases, the proposed government health plan and the neighbor’s golfing attire. I am an 8 year old fawn male, in a lot better health than most of the young whippersnappers out there and lost my yen for the ladies some time ago, but you can just forget about the wild parties and the triathlons….and I’m not jumping out of any airplanes either. If you think you measure up to my standards, just file your application and ask for Higgins.

Just saw Higgins on your adoption list. My Ivanwold’s Mr. Higgins lived to 16. Does he get along with other dogs and cats? My daughter and I have a Corgi and two rescue mixed breeds. Just lost my dear Standard Poodle to cancer. We also have 3 dog friendly indoor cats and an acre fenced yard. I was a Briard breeder, AKC handler and a now retired AKC judge. Thanks.
