Johnny
Congratulations Johnny on your forever home!
Update 1/17/12: An application has already been received on this pug. We process adoption applications on a first-come, first-served basis, however there is no guarantee that a prior application will be accepted or an adoption take place. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list of potential adopters for this pug, please go ahead and file your application. If you would rather not wait for this pug, we encourage you to browse our other “Available” pugs to see if any others capture your heart, or file an adoption application describing to us the type of pug you are looking for (age, color, sex, etc.) and we will match you up with the first pug available meeting your description.
Update: 10/27/11: My surgery was a success. The vet was able to remove my small tumor and get clean margins. What does that mean for me you ask? Well, it means that I will have to be watched and that other tumors may appear as I go through life. However, I am young and that will work to my advantage. The rescue will explain in detail my treatment and what to expect from my condition if you consider adopting me. Please give me the opportunity of having a forever family to call my own.
Update: 10/10/10: So I went to see the vet and unfortunately, I do have mast cell cancer. Doc did my surgery today, so we will know soon if she was able to get clean margins on me. If so, that is good news for me. Please check back soon for more updates on how I’m doing.
Update 10/2/11: I am going in to see the doctor for a spot on my skin that looks suspicious. I will let you know how it goes.
Update: 9/2/11: I’ve just had a dental and am ready to find my forever home. I am playful and a very good boy. I am no longer heartworm positive and have been doing great. I have been neutered, micro-chipped and given all my shots. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application and ask for me, Johnny.
Hi There! I’m Johnny and I have just come into rescue. So far today I have been in 3 different cities, but I have now arrived at my foster home. I am up to date on all my shots and have been micro-chipped. I still need to be neutered, but that will take place shortly.
Doc has informed me that I am heartworm positive, but has assured me not to worry. I am young, healthy and strong otherwise and I should pull through treatment fine. My foster mom will take good care of me.
Adoption Fee: $300

Not the head tilt! Gasp! I’m in love. You actually look like a Johnny too with that little boy face of yours. I can’t believe your fosters got you on film doing the head tilt! You are not going to have much of a wait. I’m waiting on my application to be a foster, and you are setting me up for foster failure! I can’t stop awwing! Pugsby is now doing the head tilt at your head tilt. Must pry away from head tilt…must pull away…
I can’t believe it! Three cities! WOW! (I can stop obsessing about the head tilt now) Where did you come from Johnny? How old are you?
I am on here for the fourth time today admiring your cutie pie face!
Hi guys! It’s Johnny! So glad you like my head tilt; it comes natural….and believe it or not—it’s ALL THE TIME!!!! I love to sit and chat with ANYONE. I listen very closely and have to mimic whatever you are doing. Just last night my foster family rented Markmaduke and I sat between all 3 of them and watched the whole movie just tilting away!

I believe I am about 2 human years. Ha! I am such a sit right next to ya dog! I am house trained. I think I came from the East Coast of Florida; Melbourne maybe?
I love to hang and do whatever you do. One of my favorite things is going through a drive through—I can hardly take it when I hear that voice come through that box!!!! I just GOTTA see the actual face……. hee hee!
Write any time my new friends!
PS> Thank you to all pug foster families. Their halos are brighter than most others for us.
LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
JESSICA, HAVE A WONDERFUL LABOR DAY!!! XOXOX
How are you fairing on the heartworm treatment, Johnny? Are you being a good boy for your Mommy?
I start my treatment on Thursday with Odo. I will be sure to give updates! xxoo Ruff Ruff (Head Tilt)
Thank you Brenda! Today is my Birthday, and I am celebrating by coming to my favorite website, and saying hello to my favorite pugs! (Especially you Johnny!) I have my fingers crossed for fostering and I hope to adopt as well! My husband grew up around Rotties, and he EVEN fell in love with you Johnny! (That is really something!!!) My Pugsby is looking for a pug sibling to play with, and I hope that can happen soon! Much love to everyone!!! ~Jessi
I filled out an application for you Johnny!
Thank you Jessica! xxxooo Head Tilt With Love!
hi jessica i picked up johnny and he is a sweetheart. and i think i have his brother they both are from melbourne and LOOK A LIKE. my boy is sunny. they both have the same personalities too. was so strange to see this. look under the adopted’s. when i picked johnny up he has a happy personality about him. if he is anything like sunny you will totally enjoy him.
good luck, maggie
Guess what guess what guess what?! Jodi is calling me tonight to set up a homevisit, Johnny! I am soooo excited!!!!!!If everything goes well and when you are all better, I can be your mommy! Oh! Are you on Natural Balance, or what doggie food does your mama have for you???? Do you like treats? I get the meat bites by Blue for Pugbsy. What treats do you like? What are your favorite toys? I already have squeakers, do you like stuffed animals? I also have the things you fill with peanut butter, and I will be getting the game where you hide the treats under the squares, and you use your nose to push them open to get the treat! I have your collar and harness picked out too. They are blue!
Hi Jessica,
It will still be several weeks before I am ready, and we will probably wait to meet until I have come through my heartworm treatment. I will need to stay calm over the next few weeks while I am going through treatment. Brenda, my foster mom can fill you in on more of my interests and things I love to eat and play with. Talk to you soon. -Johnny
PS. My landlords fell in love with your head tilt! I love you Johnny!
Oh I am just excited Johnny! My vet told me what the treatment is like and I am just sorry that you have to go thru it. He also said because you are young that you will be fine…I still pray for your health. I promise that if and when I get you, this will NEVER happen again. Oh Maggie your sunny looks so darling!!! I am so glad you have him!!!! I love you Johnny!
i am too he is a joy to be around as johnny will be to you. and yes sunny was laughing cause i was tickling him. maggie
HA! That’s sooo funny!!! I can’t wait to have Johnny and be a foster, I am sooo excited.
Thinking of you Johnny…I am choosing sweaters for you for winter time. You strike me as a blue kind of guy. Your soon to be brother is a red kind of guy. You will have a matching harness, leash, and collar. Sounds silly, but in our county tags must ALWAYS be visible, and tags fit best on a collar. I don’t know if I will have you for Halloween, Johnny, but if I do I was going to have you and Pugsby be rockers! Your human brother is going to be a garden gnome with a full white beard!
Oh that is cool! I am back to my foster home and everything went very well! I am resting as much as I can and my foster family is going to be sure I stay in a “tranquil” environment.
Thank you for touching base with me. It means a lot.
Talk to you very soon. Ruff Ruff and Tilt
I am soo happy you are in such capable hands. Brenda is an angel of the pugs!
Hi! It’s Johnny here! Just checking in with all my peeps. I am really feeling pugalicious! The treatment has gone so very smoothly. I am sleeping and eating well. Nothing really to speak of different. My meds are going well. Hope y’all are doing well. Just laying here watching Hannah Montana in this king bed with my foster family, resting my head on foster mommy’s leg. I sleep on my back with all four extremities sprawled out. Guess it’s pretty hilarious but it works for me! (Doggie Yoga perhaps?) Drop me a line anytime……….I’d love to tilt my head and talk with you. Love ya’s all.
I was wondering if Johnny has been adopted yet? I am looking to adopt a PUg for my great niece Makaila who is 9 years old and has always wanted a Pug…Please let me know if you have found a permenant home for Johnny…Thank you, Janis
Hi Janis,
