Bugsy
Congratulations Bugsy on your forever home!
Update: 9-22-10: Well, hello again! I just had to let you know I am now up-to-date on all my shots. You know what that means, don’t you?? I am sooo ready for my forever home! So, if you think you could be the one, please fill out that application today. Oh, and don’t forget, my name is Bugsy!
Hi to all pugs and pug lovers my name is Bugsy and I’m taking applications for a forever family to love and love me back. I am an adorable 6 year old boy and I am a dog of many talents, I talk and sing for my food, I have a beautiful voice just ask my foster mom. She says I have very good manners cause I sit for my food and treats. Hey lets shake hands I’m a pro and I never get tired of being introduced ever time is like the first time, lets do it again! I can guess which hand holds the treat almost ever time. Hey do you have toys? I like soft and squishy toys with a good squeaker. Boy oh boy there is nothing like a good squeaker.
As for my health, I am in good health. I do have seizures, but I am on medication for those. As long as I get my meds I am fine.
I will sit for my dinner and treats and I know how to shake hands/paws. I can always tell which hand has the treat hidden in it. I love to sing when I am excited, especially when you first come home. I like cats and other dogs, and I am good with older children.
Lets talk more later, bye for now

Hello Bryce,
I am so sorry to hear how much you ,miss your boy Bugsy. I was wandering if you remeber what type of flea medication you were using for Bugsy. (some flea medication has some side effects that leads to seizures) . As a Pug lover & I have 3 Pugs, I am just curious to know.
Merry Christmas & I look forward hearing from you.

In regards to your Question we had bugsley on Comfortis because the other topicals that you put in their coat made him itch more.(and more messy to work with if you ask me)Although it was only Flea preventive it still works well.
Merry Christmas!
Hi this is Judy Bugsy’s foster mom….just dipping in on your messages about flea meds, I was told by Vet that the Comfortis is contra indicated because of his siezure medication, he suggested we use an all in one treatment for heartworms, roundworm, whip and so on that also treats for fleas *REVOLUTION*.
Bugsy says hi and that he’s doing well. He’s had some interest but nothing has worked out yet. Our family is happy to have him for as long as he needs to stay with us.
Happy New Year
Judy
Hello Bryce,
I can tell you Love Bugsy a lot & that you still Miss him. I understand how you feel.
Thank you & I will forward this flea medication info, hope this helps the next family.
From Another Pug Lover,
Caroline
Hi Judy,
Bugsley hadn’t been on his medication for long before we decided what would be the right thing to do for him. Our Vet never said anything about there being a iner reaction between the two. Again had I known this I would of taken him off and put him on what was best for him. I hope some one comes around and see’s how good of a dog he really is and will give him his forever home he deserves. He is a very special Dog! I have never seen such a well behaved Pet. He will always be in our hearts.
Prior Family
This is pugsley’s family could you please let us know how he is doing? Is he getting along with the other pug he is with? Do you have any questions for us. please write back.
I helped transport him to his new foster home.He is such a cutie. What a great guy. He walked into the foster home, sniffed around a bit, found the toy bin and quickly had all these “new” toys scattered around the play area…. he was so funny… all his new foster brothers and sisters accepted him as their new brother right away.
HI, this Bugsy’s (we talked about it and decided a new name to go with a new start) new foster mom, he is doing very well and as adjusted to his new foster brothers and sister. We had a visit from a big yellow lab and Bugsy was in love but settled down after a while. His tricks are great he is really good at picking the hand with the treats and he has a beautiful singing voice. He is a very nice dog I can tell you loved him a lot.

Bugsy would you be happy in a home with a 3 year old? He’s very good with animals and used to being around small dogs. His daddy has a Boston Terrier. Hope you’re doing well!
Hello everyone!!!!! It’s me Bugsy just checking in to see how the rest of the world is doing. I’m soooo happy the weather is a little cooler, just loving being outside and laying in the grass taking life easy. Be right back…… it was time for a morning snack (carrots this time yum yum), see you later.
Hi this is Judy I’m Bugsy’s foster mom with an update about his seizures and the medication he takes daily. He has been with me 3 months and not had a single seizure, his medication is a tiny tablet that he takes twice a day in a small piece of cheese or chewable joint supplement. It’s just another treat to him, so please give him a chance to complete your family.
Hi Judy,
Merry Christmas! Are you the foster mom for Bugsy? I noticed there is an application pending for Bugsy & that Bugsy used to have seizures, but has not had one since you have had him. I wander if Bugsy may only had had those seizures because of flea medicine

Hope this helps Bugsy & the next family.
Since the Prior Owner, Bryce has been writing on the responses to Bugsy, maybe she can let you know what type of Flea Medicine she was using on Bugsy. Bugsy may not need the Seizure medicines anymore. If the foster parents application does not work out , I would like to help Bugsy by helping with his medication/ expenses. Please email me back.
Hi Caroline,
Thanks for the link all information is good, but these products were not used on Bugsy, only Comfortis that was purchased at the Vets office, it may have been a recent development that his family didn’t know about. He has had blood work to insure that everything is as it should be. His previous family kept wonderful records regarding Bugsy and shared all with the Rescue when he came to us.
Thank you for your offer of financial support for Bugsy its very thoughtful of you, the Rescue provides continued medical supplies and treatment for all pugs the entire time they are in rescue. We are always grateful for any donations of time and money.
