Update: 10/27/11: I am ready to start looking for my forever family. Through being in foster care, it has been determined that I will need to stay on a prescription diet that can be purchased at any vet. The food I must stay on is Royal Canin s/0 for urinary health. When I have not been on this food, I will have accidents and am prone to urinary tract infections as well as struvite crystals. I may from time to time have an accident in the house, however I do my very best not to. The food is on the pricer side, however my personality and sweet disposition make up for it once I get to know you.
I do however, have one bad habit. I will bolt and run if I am not in a fenced yard or on a leash. Unless you are superhuman, do not try and run after me, you will not catch me. I came from a past where I was very scared and I haven’t been able to tell the rescue what I went through. All they know if I am scared at first and need time to trust you. Once I do, I am your companion for life. I get along well with other dogs, but prefer to be with my human companion.
I have been known when I am scared to give warning nips, so small children are not recommended, however with a child who is older and understands that I am not trying to hurt anyone, I am just frightened, that would be ok with me.
If you feel you have a special place in your home for a very special pug, please consider adopting me and giving me the opportunity of having a forever family of my very own.
Update: 8/24/11: I have been moved back in waiting due to some urinary problems I am having. The doctor is running tests to see what is going on, so until we now the outcome, I will be with my foster mom a while longer. I don’t mind. She loves me so much and I am enjoying the playtime I have with my foster brothers and sisters. Please check back in with me to see how I’m coming along.
Update: 8/5/11: An application has already been received on this pug. Update: 8/3/11: I have been moved back into waiting as I have a pretty bad UTI and crystals in my bladder. I am on some medications to see if they help and then I amy need to go on a special prescription diet. Please check back soon to see how I’m doing.
Update: 4/30/11: I am doing well and making progress. I am still cautious about strangers, but not as scared as I was before. I am a good boy and I can’t wait to find that special home just for me. Two of my favorite things to do are to go for walks and play. I don’t mind cats, but big dogs scare me a little. Little dogs are ok, as they are just my size. If you feel you can open up your heart to loving me and making me a part of your family, please fill out an application and ask for me, Samson. I’ll be waiting!
Hi There! I am a 4 year old fawn male and have just recently arrived in rescue. I am now up to date on all my shots, microchipped, neutered, and have received a clean bill of health.
I am extremely scared and will growl if I am cornered. My foster mom thinks that that will stop as soon as I learn that people are good and that it is ok to let my guard down. I get along with other dogs and will be available soon, once I feel a little more comfortable.
Adoption Fee: $325

Hi! Is Samson still available? Would he get along with female pug?
Hey Tanya!
Samson lives with his foster brother and does fine with him. We haven’t had him around any females yet but we are going to do that very soon, so I will let you know how that goes. If you are really interested feel free to fill out an application and maybe we can set up a meet and greet!
Jamie,
Thanks! Will do! Please let me know how he does with a female.
I sure will!
Hey Tanya!
Sam has been living with a cutie of a lil girl for about a week now with no issues. As a matter of fact, I think he kinda likes her!
Will Samson be at the even this Saturday in winter park? I’d love to meet him!
-Tanya
