Scarlett

Congratulations, Scarlett, on your new home!

My name is Scarlett.  I am a true Southern lady.  Unlike my namesake, I never raise my voice and I am never headstrong…why maybe I should have been called Miss Melanie instead!.  First, the basics:  I am just a year and a half, am spayed, microchipped and have had all my shots.  Due to an unfortunate incident in my  past I have lost the sight in my right eye, but I compensate for it very well, and frankly, my dear, you wouldn’t even know it if I hadn’t told you. I am very petite and intend to keep my tiny waist although my foster mom absolutely insists that I eat four enormous meals daily to keep up my strength…I just know I’ll never go hungry again!  Which between you and me, suits me just fine!  As befits a belle, I just love new clothes and adore being dressed to the nines, mostly because I just know I will be the center of attention wherever I go.  I insist on being pampered…which means daily massages and belly rubs….and I demand long naps and sleeping late…I just cannot be expected to emerge from my boudoir at any old time of the morning!  My manners are impeccable, whether on leash, at the park or at home…though I would request that you keep those nasty cell phone things away from me as I do not like their incessant buzzing and humming.  So uncivilized!  So if you would like a sweet Southern belle as your life long companion, do ask CFPR for Scarlett, and I do declare that we will have just the loveliest time together!

I am ready to find my forever home.  I can’t wait to meet you!

I am really interested in Scarlett. I like to adopt animals with handicaps because to often other people do not want them. I am retired and am looking for a small pug to entertain me and to cuddle with me and to walk with me. Please let me know when scarlett will be ready to go home and where she if residing now. I mean town she is living in. Thanks Betty

      Hi Betty,

Scarlett was in heat when she came into rescue, so we have been waiting for that to stop so we can get her spayed and get all her shots done. She also had a mild case of demodex Mange which is why we had to wait on her shots. I saw your application come through and our adoption coordinator does have it. She is out of town until tomorrow, but she will contact you upon her return. Thank you for wanting to add a pug to your family. Dana-Foster Coordinator
