Update: 5/1/12: We have figured it out! I am allergic to certain ingredients that were in my food! We did allergy testing and I am allergic to several things, even cats. Its ok though, because now we can get my itching under control with the right diet and the right environment. I am on a lamb and rice limited ingredient food that you can get at any Petco, and I am doing well. I am such a good boy and just want a forever family of my very own. Please consider making me a part of your family. I can’t wait to meet you!
Update: 2/27/12: I am still itching, but we know now that this will be an on-going issue for me. I am on a grain-free food which makes things a little better and I am bathed in a medicated shampoo to help me feel better. Once I find my forever family, it is possible that they can work with a vet to see if I am a candidate for allergy shots or immuno-therapy treatments. From what I am told, some other pugs have had great success with this. I am a beautiful boy with a beautiful personality to match. If you have it in your heart to love me, I promise I will love you back. Please fill out an application and ask for me, Simon! I can’t wait to meet my new mommy or daddy.
Update 1/1/12: I am back in waiting because I am having some really itchy scratchy skin so we need to figure out why and what we can do to fix it.
Update: 8/1/11: I am officially ready to find my forever home. My foster mom has been taking such good care of me, but I would really love to find a home of my very own. Please give me a chance to be a part of your family and fill out an application with my name on it! See you soon.
Update: 6/21/11: I have been cleared by the vet! No more mites! I am mange free. Now my hair will grow back and i will look as handsome as ever. I just need a dental and then I will be ready to find my very own forever home. Please keep in touch to see when I am available for adoption.
Update: 1/11/11: I have been moved back in waiting as I have something called Giardia. It is a parasite that comes from drinking stagnant and contaminated water. I came in with it and we did not know it because it lies dormant for 13 days. I am on antibiotics and then it will be cleared right up. Please check back soon because I am ready to find my forever family. I will let you know when I’m well. See you soon!
Hi, I’m Simon and I am approximately 7 years old. Someone found me and brought me to a shelter and I am now in rescue. I came in with severe Demodex Mange across 90% of my body. The Mange has since healed and I just need time for my fur to grow back in.
I am a sweet, loving boy, who loves to play as well as cuddle. I am up to date on my shots, neutered and chipped.

Simon is a wonderful boy. He will be at the Petco in Titusville this coming Saturday if you would like to come out and meet him. The address for the Petco is on our website if you click on the calendar for the 19th. It will come up. If you are interested in him, please fill out an adoption application for him. You can do it online and our adoption coordinator will put you right in touch with his foster mom. you will be able to asks questions and set up a private meet and greet in your home so you can see how Simon gets along with your other babies. I am Simon’s foster mom!! He is a wonderful smart & spunky guy who has overcome so much!! I do not know where you live, but if it is in Brevard County we will be at the Titusville Petco today after 11:00!! Also, we are taking new pix(s) of our Simon today which will be posted this week!!
