Bailey

Bailey came into rescue having severe seizures and we did not know why. She was only 11 months old and was covered in fleas. She would wake up every hour crying to her foster mom. She crossed the bridge when she had a grand mal seizure. Though Bailey was in rescue for only one week, she was very loved by her foster mom, Mary C. Upon some research, we learned Bailey was poisoned in her owner’s home. Their home was infested with fleas and bugs. They treated the house and had spilled some bug repellent. It was not cleaned up thoroughly and think she got into it. The family also gave her a monthly flea treatment for a 50lb dog and she was a mere 8lb baby.

We at CFPR urge pet owners to PLEASE be responsible and careful of the chemicals around your home. Make sure the chemicals are safely stored away and thoroughly cleaned up after any spills.
