Snickers

Update: 9/5/11:  It is with lots of love that we send Snickers over the rainbow bridge.  Snickers there is a note below from your foster mom.  You are loved and we will miss your beautiful face, personality and soul.  Rest and play now sweetheart.

Hi, I’m Snickers.  I am an old girl, 15 going on 16, but I am doing well.  My family was no longer able to care for me, so they made one of the most difficult decisions ever.  I am now in rescue and will remain here for the rest of my life.

My foster mom is wonderful and I am making new friends with my foster brothers and sisters.  I cannot see or hear well and I do have a wiggle in my walk, which for my age is not bad at all.

I have been in to see the vet and I am a healthy, just very senior little girl.  Check back for updates on how I’m doing. Feel free to check out my very own photo gallery below!

CFPR took Snickers in as hospice to give her a stable home where she can live in retirement. She currently has a UTI and is on antibiotics for it. Other than that, she is a healthy senior gal who wants nothing more than love and attention.

As her foster mom, she already had won my heart as well as my husband’s heart. Her foster brothers and sisters welcomed her in their home with open paws.

She is a little demanding diva who likes to tell you when “she” wants to go outside or when “she” wants a nibble of your food. We just give her a treat instead, lol.

Snickers is as precious as they come. I am so blessed to have crossed path with her.

Snickers is doing well and is thriving on the love she gets from our home. She continues to tell you what wants and is not shy about letting you know when she wants it. She’s truly enjoying her golden years here and we spoil her every chance we get.

Snickers turned 16 back in April and she had a Sweet 16 birthday party complete with cake, party dress, necklace and even a tiara! She thoroughly enjoyed her cake. Her former mommy and daddy even drove 3 hours to help celebrate her birthday.

She recently went in for her 6 month check up and the dogtor can’t believe how healthy and spry she is for her age. I will say it again. It is truly a blessing to have crossed path with her and an honor to be able to care for our little Baby Noodle. We love you Snickie!!

My beautiful Snickie, little did I know you were called home to the heavens above so soon. Your precious little body fought hard against the infection but it was just too much.

Daddy, me and your brothers and sisters miss you so much already. We were so blessed to have you in our lives. We loved you as if you’ve been here forever. Seven months with you was just not enough for me. But I tell you one thing my precious little girl. It was seven months of bliss having you in our lives. Words can’t say how much love we have for you and how much we will miss you.

I already miss the countless times you pee on the kitchen rug. The times you follow us into the kitchen think we would be getting food out. The times you get me up 1-2 times a night to go pee. The way you talk to us at the dinner table demanding food. We love your little whines and will miss those. You had such a wonderful “take it easy” attitude.

Well my precious angel, be whole and young again. I think you’ve done a wonderful job down here for 16 1/2 years teaching everyone who have met you how to love, laugh and enjoy life. You’ve earned your angel wings my baby noodle. I will see you again one day. We love you always and you’re forever in our hearts.
